How whomso works

A lot of whomso's functionality is powered by HubSpot. It's why one of the first steps to getting started is to connect your account.

Going deeper, whomso is an extension of the company object in HubSpot. whomso uses existing data that you've collected on these companies to create custom microsites — data including company domain, logo and industry all contribute to making a microsite personalised.

We also pass data back to the company object. This might sound illogical given HubSpot's ability to add sub-objects like deals and tickets, but we don't see it that way. We want to ensure that whomso can be used for the duration of a commercial lifecycle. From lead to customer. Because of that, our data sits a level higher than deals because if it didn't, usage data would be siloed within sales.

Our Data Explained

It might be helpful to explain what data whomso collects. As of writing, whomso only collects viewer data. In practice, this means we'll tell you when someone opens a site and for how long. We also track users — we can distinguish between a single user, opening the site 10 times, or 10 individual users opening it once.

Whilst we're continually evolving our product and are building deeper analytics right now, this data is more than sufficient for helping explain intent and usage.
